For this Federal Rehabilitation Tax Credit project, we converted an abandoned center-city department store into 14 contemporary apartments and ground-floor commercial space. The building was restored to its appearance in 1829, when it was first built as a hotel. Reconstruction included the original four-story wooden gallery porches facing two major city streets.
